Qualifications & Experience:
His approach to martial arts started at age 7 and has remained a lifelong pursuit of learning, refining, and evolving. That philosophy is brought into every training session at Cage Kombat
The Bruce Lee Lineage
Jeet Kune Do, meaning “The Way of the Intercepting Fist,” was developed by Bruce Lee as a philosophy and approach to martial arts centered on simplicity, efficiency, adaptability, and continuous learning. Rather than being confined to one traditional style, Lee encouraged practitioners to take what works, discard what doesn’t, and adapt to the individual and the situation. His philosophy became the foundation for a martial arts lineage that continues to influence generations of practitioners today.

Bruce Lee → Dan Inosanto → Dion Riccardo
The lineage began with Bruce Lee, who taught a philosophy of adaptability, efficiency, and learning from every style. His student, Dan Inosanto, preserved and expanded that philosophy through continued study and training. Dion Riccardo then carried that knowledge forward, learning from Dan and continuing the tradition through his own teaching.
Dion Riccardo → Coach Tyler
Coach Tyler continues this lineage through his 10+ years of training under Dion Riccardo. He has learned not only mixed martial arts techniques, but also the principles behind them: understand the fundamentals, adapt to the situation, and never stop learning. This makes Tyler a third-generation student in the lineage

Tyler → You
When you train under Tyler, you become part of that lineage too. You are not just learning techniques—you are joining a martial arts tradition passed from teacher to student across generations. Every student who trains under Tyler becomes part of the fourth generation, helping carry the knowledge, principles, and spirit of martial arts into the future.
